As Team Leader, Interpreting Qualifications, you'll lead the delivery of nationally recognised interpreter education programs, inspire a high-performing team of educators, and drive quality, innovation and continuous improvement across our Education service.

About the role:
Reporting to the Manager, Program Delivery, you will lead the planning, delivery and continuous improvement of our Interpreting qualifications. Working collaboratively across Education and the broader organisation, you'll ensure our programs remain compliant, accessible, responsive to student needs and aligned with industry expectations.
You'll build capability across our training workforce while supporting student success and contributing to the strategic growth of Deaf Connect's education services.
Main responsibilities of the role include:
- Lead the planning, coordination and evaluation of nationally recognised Interpreting qualifications.
- Build, mentor and develop a high-performing team of Trainers, Assessors and Tutors.
- Monitor program performance, student outcomes and quality indicators to drive continuous improvement.
- Coordinate workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding and professional development activities.
- Work collaboratively with Program Design, Student Services and other internal teams to deliver outstanding learning experiences.
- Foster strong relationships with industry stakeholders and contribute to moderation, validation and quality assurance activities.
- Ensure compliance with ASQA Standards, funding requirements and organisational policies.
- Champion a culture of collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement
About you:

- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or equivalent).
- Demonstrated leadership experience, including coaching, mentoring and developing teams.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and organisational skills.
- A commitment to inclusive education, quality outcomes and continuous improvement.
Highly regarded:
- Experience as a Trainer/Assessor or Tutor.
- Five or more years' experience as a working interpreter or have a Certified Professional Interpreter accreditation.
- Experience using Moodle, aXcelerate or other Learning Management Systems
- Experience working within the VET sector and/or a Registered Training Organisation (RTO).
