Job Description

Location: Various - QLD, NSW, WA, VIC, SA, ACT

Pay: $35.15 – $47.16 p/h + salary packaging + super

About the role:

You will provide the Deaf and hard of hearing community with access to support in Auslan for Daily Activities, Social and Community Participation, allowing participants to learn and develop the skills and confidence to live independent lives. We have casual positions available working 1:1 with NDIS and/or Ageing Well participants. 

Empower people who are Deaf, Deafblind and hard of hearing to live the life they want and achieve their goals, from the everyday to the extraordinary.

Work with people to support: 

  • Health and wellbeing 
  • Social connection and activities 
  • Domestic duties 
  • Financial literacy  

To succeed in the role, you will have:

  • Auslan skills
  • Experience working with Deaf and hard-of-hearing people, and or Deaf seniors
  • Certificate III in Individual Support, Community Services or another relevant qualification, or you have plans to get this in the future

Before you start, you will need:

  • NDIS Worker Screening Card 
  • Completed NDIS Worker Orientation course 
  • Current Driver’s License
  • Roadworthy vehicle with comprehensive insurance
