As the Administrator, Auslan at Home, you’ll play a key role in delivering a program that empowers Deaf families to learn and connect, helping families access quality Auslan learning and ensuring every session runs smoothly from start to finish. You’ll be the go-to link between families, tutors, and our Education team, delivering inclusive, high-quality support that empowers Deaf and hard of hearing Australians to connect and thrive.
We’re offering a 12-month maximum term, part-time role (22.5 hours per week) The role can be based in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, or Perth, and enjoy our hybrid model — core office days (Tuesday–Thursday) with the option to work from home on Mondays and Fridays.
About the role:
The Administration Officer, Auslan at Home plays a vital role in empowering Deaf families and supporting inclusive communication. You’ll be at the heart of coordinating ‘Auslan at Home’ sessions — ensuring families receive a seamless, high-quality experience from enquiry through to delivery.
Working closely with the Team Leader – Auslan in Home and the broader Education team, you’ll bring strong organisational skills and a customer-focused approach to manage enquiries, coordinate tutors, and maintain accurate records.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a busy, purpose-driven environment, enjoys connecting with people, and wants to make a tangible difference in the lives of Deaf and hard of hearing Australians.
Main responsibilities of the role include:
- Be the first point of contact for Auslan at Home – respond to enquiries and support families through their learning journey.
- Coordinate all admin tasks, from enrolments and quotes to invoicing and payment follow-up.
- Keep participant records accurate and databases up to date.
- Work with the Education team to match tutors, organise sessions, and support smooth service delivery.
- Ensure tutor payments and NDIA claims are processed on time.
- Jump in where needed – support office systems, streamline processes, and help the team thrive.
