About the role
You’ll provide speech, language and listening assessments in line with Healthy Hearing Monitoring Guidelines, and deliver therapy for NDIS and Medicare clients with hearing loss. You’ll work closely with families to support their communication choices, respecting values and embracing Auslan as the language of the Deaf community. Services are offered across:
- Clinic-based early intervention and school programs
- Hear for Kids in Schools program
- Community and home visits
- Telehealth services
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and write reports.
- Develop and implement tailored therapy programs.
- Provide family-inclusive, evidence-based clinical support.
- Maintain accurate case notes and progress records.
- Work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Contribute to resource and program development that promotes inclusive communication.
About you
We’d love to hear from you if you are:
- A qualified Speech Pathologist (Bachelor or Master’s Degree) with SPA membership.
- Eligible for NDIS Worker Screening Check and Blue Card.
- Passionate about supporting children who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing.
- Confident in evidence-based practice and family-centred approaches.
- Skilled at managing caseloads independently and working within a team.
- Interested in professional development and open to learning Auslan.
Highly regarded skills.
- Experience delivering services via telehealth.
- Demonstrated ongoing professional learning relevant to the Deaf/Hard of Hearing population.
