We’re seeking an experienced and people-focused Team Leader, Program Design/Instructional Design to step into a key leadership role for a 4-month parental leave contract.

• Lead a team of Instructional Designers and online learning support staff
• Drive innovation, quality and accessibility across nationally delivered programs
• Work with leading learning technologies including Moodle, GoReact, aXcelerate and Articulate

About the role:

As Team Leader, Program Design, you will lead the design, development and continuous improvement of training and assessment resources across Deaf Connect's education programs. You'll ensure resources are compliant, accessible, engaging and aligned with adult learning principles, while supporting the strategic growth of our Registered Training Organisation (RTO).

Main responsibilities of the role include:

• Leading the design, development and implementation of high-quality training and assessment resources across multiple programs
• Managing and supporting a team of Instructional Designers and Online Learning staff to deliver quality outcomes
• Ensuring compliance with ASQA Standards, training package requirements and organisational quality standards
• Driving continuous improvement through resource reviews, audits, stakeholder feedback and data analysis
• Managing learning management systems and learning technologies to support an engaging student experience
• Working closely with program leaders and subject matter experts to identify training needs and improve learner outcomes
• Producing reports and insights on project progress, resource quality and program effectiveness

About you:

In your application, let us know if you have these key skills and experience: 

• Proven experience designing educational or training resources within the VET sector and/or an RTO environment
• Strong knowledge of adult learning principles, training package requirements and assessment design
• Experience leading and developing teams in a learning design, education or training environment
• Proficiency in Learning Management Systems and learning design tools, ideally Moodle, GoReact, aXcelerate and Articulate
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, project management and organisational skills
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and/or Diploma of Training Design and Assessment (or equivalent)

• Auslan skills and knowledge of Deaf community, language and culture
• Auslan and/or Interpreting qualifications
• Experience leading continuous improvement and quality assurance initiatives within education settings
