About the role:

As a Social Worker within Therapy and Family Services (TAFS), you will provide professional, evidence-based support to children, adults, and families.

This is a varied and rewarding role where you’ll support people to strengthen wellbeing, build independence, and navigate key life stages. You’ll work across clinical and practical supports, helping clients achieve meaningful, real-world outcomes.

Main responsibilities of the role include: 

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop tailored support plans
  • Deliver therapeutic and non-therapeutic interventions aligned to client goals
  • Support individuals and families through key life stages and transitions
  • Assist clients to navigate NDIS, education and health systems
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide coordinated care
  • Deliver services via telehealth and contribute to national service delivery
  • Maintain accurate documentation, reporting and compliance requirements

About you:

You’re a motivated and compassionate Social Worker who enjoys working both independently and as part of a team.

In your application, let us know if you have these key skills and experience: 

  • Tertiary qualification in Social Work and eligibility for AASW membership
  • Experience delivering evidence-based, client-centred practice
  • Strong ability to manage a caseload independently and within a team
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Understanding of trauma-informed and strengths-based approaches.

You should also let us know if you have these other great skills: 

  • Experience working with Deaf and/or culturally diverse communities
  • Auslan skills or willingness to learn
  • Experience within NDIS or similar frameworks
  • Experience delivering services via telehealth or outreach
